Merchenary ("we," "us," "our") operates the platform at merchenary.shop. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and username, provided when you create an account
- Payment information: processed and stored by Stripe; we do not store card numbers or bank account details
- Creator payout information: collected by Stripe during Connect onboarding; we do not store SSNs or full bank account numbers
- Campaign and transaction data: campaign details, backer pledges, and order records necessary to operate the platform
- Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) retained for security and debugging purposes
What we don't collect
We do not run third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or marketing pixels. We do not sell your data.
How we use your data
- To operate your account and process transactions
- To send transactional emails (campaign confirmations, payout notices, receipts) — no marketing emails without your explicit opt-in
- To investigate disputes and prevent fraud

- Clerk: authentication (clerk.com/privacy)
- SendGrid: transactional email delivery
- We share no data with advertisers or data brokers
Data retention
Transaction records are retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance. Account data is deleted upon request, subject to legal retention obligations.
